阿尔曼和母亲住在一个小镇上，为了不被抓去当兵，阿尔曼不得不踏上去英格兰的旅程。历经千难万险，阿尔曼来到英格兰，在亲戚的帮助下找了一份工作，可他却爱上了老板的女儿。老板为了阻止这段爱情，设法让警察把阿尔曼遣送回国。可是为了爱情，阿尔曼又一次踏上了旅程。
