丛斌，中国工程院院士，博士，教授，主任法医师，博士生导师。全国人大常委、法律委员会副主任委员，九三学社中央副主席，河北医科大学副校长、法医学系主任，中国法医学会副会长，教育部法医学教学指导委员会副主任委员，《中国法医学杂志》编委会副主任、副主编。
从事法医学教学、科研、检案工作32年。主要研究领域为：机械性损伤与多器官功能障碍综合征，弥漫性轴索损伤，应激性损伤，饮酒后蛛网膜下腔出血等的死亡机制；毒品依赖的信号转导机制；天然药物毒性化合物分离、纯化及其毒性机制等。此外，还长期致力于法医分子遗传学、法医法学、病理生理学方面的研究，在腐败检材降解DNA分型技术、缩胆囊素的细胞调节、急性肺损伤、内毒素休克、自身免疫性疾病发病机制等方面的研究取得重要成果。办理过多起全国性的大案、要案。以第一完成人获国家科技进步一等奖l项，二等奖2项，省部级一等奖3项；主编《实用法医学》和全国统编教材等专著8部；发表论文420余篇，单篇最高影响因子40．197。培养博士、博士后56名，硕士93名。
