Manchester has been waiting seven years for these Commonwealth Games, and tonight, finally, the fun can begin. Theyve come to party, and share a moment of history. As the gates opened, the audience could hardly wait to get inside. Thousands bought their tickets months ago, just to make sure they have a good seat. The de- tails of the ceremony have been kept a closely guarded secret, and thats whipped up enthusiasm and speculation.
