《基础英语教程4》是高等学校英语专业综合英语教材，全书共四册。《基础英语教程4》为第四册，供大学二年级下学期使用。选文以文学作品、历史事件、伦理道德、社会发展为主，内容健康，语言地道，启发性强。本册共10个单元，整体结构、材料安排、练习设计均与第三册相同。通过本册的学习和训练，力争学生的英语运用能力达到专业四级以上水平，并在知识、技能、文化、情感、策略五个方面再上台阶，为《高级英语4》的学习打下坚实基础。
