周围经常有人对老刘说，我家孩子学习不好就送来跟你学画吧。老刘知道，他们并非有意将画画与学习不好等同起来，但画画显然成了许多家长退而求其次的一种高考选择。
一位邻居的同事带着儿子来找老刘，说要考美术学院，让老刘给辅导辅导。老刘决定先同孩子聊聊，探探他的虚实。
你平时常画素描吗？老刘问。
我不仅会画树苗（素描），还会画干枝梅呢？孩子一脸认真地回答。
老刘告诉邻居，请他一定转告他的同事，就别难为孩子了。

The father said the boy was going to take theentrance examination for the admission to the academy of fine arts andwondered if Lao Liu could give him some guidance. Lao Liu decided totalk with the boy first to see how much he had known about painting.
"Do you often sketch？"Lao Liu asked.
"I not only SKETCH but also draw plum blossoms？ " the boyanswered seriously.
Later, Lao Liu told the neighbor to send his words to the father, "Don t be too hard on the child！"
