古文4—6子日，“我未见好仁者，恶不仁者。好仁者，无以尚之；恶不仁者，其为人矣，不使不仁者加乎其身。有能一日用其力于仁矣乎？我未见力不足者。盖之有矣，我未之见
也。”
今译
孔子说，“我没有见到真正喜欢仁和真正厌恶不仁的人；喜欢仁的人，把仁看得高于一切；厌恶不仁的人，他对待仁，只是不让不仁的事沾染他。我没有看到过谁真有一天竭诚用力去行仁而力量不足的！也许有这样的人吧，但我从未见过。”
英译
The Master said, "I have not seen a person who lovedvirtue, or one who hated what was not virtuous. He,who loved virtue, would esteem nothing above it. Hewho hated what is not virtuous, would practice virtuein such a way that he would not allow anything that isnot virtuous to approach his person. Is anyone ablefor one day to apply his strength to virtue？ I have notseen the case in which his strength would be insuf-ficient. Should there possibly be any such case, I havenot seen it."
