教材单元架构介绍：教材中每单元由3个部分构成。 第一部分以情景化听力任务为驱动的词汇扩展练习（vocabulary　elicitation　driven　by　listening　comprehension）； 第二部分以知识小测验为导入方式的阅读理解任务(reading　comprehension　and　critical　thinking)； 第三部分以第二部分文章相关段落的语言特点为范本，进行相应语法知识的输入，并服务于后续的写作练习(grammatical　knowledgebased　writing　task)。 本教材选择恰当、地道的科普型语言素材，采用以任务为主的多样化活动设计，注重同一话题的争议性或对话性素材的选取，引导学习者以学科整合的方式来认识世界，提升学生的思辨能力、问题解决能力、同伴合作能力和自我激励能力，以期培养具备科学人文素养、批判思维的专业技术人员。
