本书主要介绍了干细胞与再生医学的相关研究进展,包括干细胞的基础研究与衍生研究,及其在不同生理和病理水平中的治疗作用。第一章主要介绍了干细胞的类型、来源、应用和目前面临的挑战。第二章以胚胎干细胞、间充质干细胞、诱导多能干细胞和成体神经干细胞为例,介绍了干细胞的分离与鉴定策略及实验方法。第三章则聚焦于干细胞与人类疾病问的密切联系,阐述了目前于细胞在神经系统疾病、心脏疾病、糖尿病、骨关节炎和伤口愈合等方面的治疗策略与研究进展。第四章介绍了干细胞微环境,以及再生医学中通过靶向干细胞微环境来治疗疾病的组织工程。第五章讨论了肿瘤干细胞学说,介绍了肿瘤干细胞的基本概念与特性、耐药机制、微环境及目前研究中遇到的挑战。第六章与第七章介绍了药物和疾病的新型研究平台与工具——类器官,阐述了其在癌症医学、精准医学、再生医学、药物开发(筛选和毒理学)、疾病模型和基础研究中的研究进展与应用,理性探讨其局限性;同时介绍了类器官的不同类型,着重介绍了患者来源的人类肝癌类器官的研究进展。第八章介绍了近年来研究热度极高的细胞外囊泡,作为干细胞治疗的潜在替代品,我们对这种可作为诊断、预后和治疗性工具的生物标记物的发生、分类、组成、功能与应用等研究的进展进行了总结。第九章介绍了目前生命科学领域中作为新型生物技术疗法的基因治疗及有望显著提高基因治疗的持久性与安全性的基因编辑技术,以期为疾病治疗策略提供更多新的思路。
