王开文，主任医师、教授，曾任新疆石河子大学医学院眼科主任、研究室主任，附属医院院长。从事医、教、研工作60余载。与教研室主任杨树楦教授共同创建省级首批三甲医院重点科室。受聘为新疆维吾尔自治区卫生系列高级职称评委委员兼五官组组长，新疆生产建设兵团评委会副主任委员；《眼科新进展》杂志、《美中国际眼科杂志》编委。发表论文近70篇。1994年参加多伦多第27届国际眼科学术会议，宣读论文《眼挫伤视网膜色素上皮改变》，随后访问美国哈佛医学院眼耳医院。1998年参加阿姆斯特丹第28届国际眼科学术会议，交流论文《春季结膜炎的临床病理》。在《中国中医眼科杂志》发表论文2篇，发表英、俄译文眼科文献资料10余万字，参加编写《变态反应疾病诊治》等专著。1986年以来先后四次接待美、英、澳专家来院讲学，手术示范并开办学习班；促进眼科显微手术，人工晶体植入及角膜移植的发展。获省级科技进步奖多项。1992年开始享受国务院政府特殊津贴。2003年离休后受聘于佛山市第二人民医院，乌鲁木齐市眼目鼻喉科医院，海南五指山眼科医院。

　　本书从基础医学到临床实践对眼红斑痤疮疾病进行全面系统地阐述。全书共11章，前两章阐述本病的流行病学、预防和病因学以及皮肤及眼红斑痤疮的病理生理和临床表现。第3章叙述眼病的辩证论治及中医内治疗法。第4章到第10章分别叙述睑皮炎及睑腺疾病，睑板腺功能障碍、干眼、结膜、角膜、巩膜乃至眼内组织损害。第11章也是最后一章介绍至今了解甚少的儿童眼红斑痤疮。书中列举了临床实例进一步证实眼红斑痤疮疾病的常见性和一系列表现，指出确诊的依据。本书是眼科医生从事医教研工作必备用书，亦可供皮肤科、病理科、儿科以及中西医结合方面的参考；还可作为家庭、个人养生保健之用。
　　书中内容大部分为著者临床研究经验总结，多为国内首次发表和报道。一部分为国际首次发现和确定，如结膜下出血、炎性及非炎性血管增生和纽结、并发性白内障以及泪腺封闭疗法等。
